Buying Houses

I have a friend who buys and sells property for a living. He is really useful when you are looking for a new place to live as he is happy to come and look at the properties and let you know whether it looks like a good place to buy or not. I have been looking at purchasing one of the Asheville townhomes that I have seen on a website. He has been helping me to decide whether it is a good purchase for me. He has explained that it isn’t all about just finding a property which seem like it is good value for money now or even something which will increase in value. For a property developer this is all that matters but for someone buying a family home this is not so important. I hadn’t really thought about it before but he explained that you will always need a house and so the value is not that important as you will never get that money back because you will always need somewhere to live. However, you do need to consider that you do not want to have to keep putting money into the house so it is important to choose something which is not high maintenance. This advice has really helped me while looking for Real estate in Asheville and am confident that once I find something that I like I know that I will be able to look out for everything that he has told me and find a property that not only looks good and fits in with my requirements but it will be good value for money as well and not need lots of unexpected work doing to it. He has even offered to come with me to look around a few properties so I can be sure that I know exactly what to look for before I buy.
