I have recently been on a golfing holiday at North Carolina golf courses. It has been really great fun. I took some time to play on my own to have fun and relax but I also booked some professional lessons while I was there. I was amazed at how good they were, how the small changes that they taught me to make to my swing made such a significant improvement to my game. I was even given a list of golf strengthening exercises to do which will help to make my core muscles more toned and flexible. I also went to some theory classes and learnt all about the importance of the swing and the different techniques that should be used and what you should not do. It was all really interesting and I have learnt so many things that I did not know - I even made notes as I thought that it would be unlikely that I would remember all of the information when I got home. I was concerned that once I got home to my normal course that I would forget all about what I had leant and go back to all of my old bad habits. However, at the moment I seem to be doing okay, although I think that I will probably need a refresher every year at least in order to keep my game improving. I have recently seen some NC Golf homesites for sale and I am seriously considering buying something so that I can stay really close to the course. It would be cheaper than a hotel and I coudl possibly go and get tuition more often then and my game would improve more quickly. It is just an idea at the moment but I am getting very excited about the prospect of it.
I just love Christmas because of all the parties that i get to go to. I have work events and so does my husband and then there are the parties with friends as well. I just love having an excuse to buy some new clothes, have my hair done and go out and have lots of fun. It makes Christmas for me, having these great social events to go to and now the children are grown up we do not have to worry about them so it is even better. This year we even have a fancy dress party to go to and so I have been hunting around for some discount costumes because all of the shops seem to have sales on at the moment, so I want to take advantage of that. It has been great fun and has really made me think hard about what I would like to go as. I do not want to be the same as anyone else and there is no theme to the party. I am not sure about all of the traditional womens costumes and have looked at the couples costumes but was not keen on those either. I think I will have to have a really hard think about what I would like to be and what sorts of things my friends are likely to be wearing. We have never been to a fancy dress party before so I am sure it will be a really great occasion and for me, who loves dressing up, I think it will be really enjoyable. I just need to stop writing this and start thinking about what to go as or else there will be no costumes left to hire and will have to end up going as a bride in my wedding dress!

I do not like spending money. I guess I have never really had that much and i like to hold on to quite a bit so that i feel secure. The thing I hate most is when I do not get good value for money or I feel like I have wasted my money. If I do not get pleasure from what I have bought then I consider it to be a waste. I am currently considering buying some modern furniture but I want to make sure that it is of the best quality before I buy it. I do not mind spending money on items which will last, so I am not necessarily looking for the cheapest things that I can find but for the best value for money that I can get. I do have a budget, of course and so do have some limits in what I can buy. I have decided to take a look on the Internet at reviews of various companies in order to find out which one seems to be the best for providing quality products which last. Then I will look at the range of contemporary furniture that they offer and see what they have that suits my taste and budget. I am also going to speak to my friend and family about their furniture and find out whether they are happy with what they have purchased in the past and where they bought it from. I find that personal recommendations are the best ones to get as people tend to be critical about things rather than seeing the good points. I am getting quite excited about purchasing something now and so I hope that I can find a good place soon to buy from as I do not want to run the risk of just buying something quickly which is not exactly what I want just because I want something new.
There are many different ways of finding potential dates these days. Gone are the days where you had to wait until your family coudl find you someone suitable to go out with. Nowadays people meet in all sorts of circumstances maybe at school or work, through mutual friends or even just approach each other in clubs or pubs. I find it really interesting that people have such different traditions at Christmas. Even down to the food that we eat, things can vary quite a bit. Some people like a roast turkey dinner but others prefer a more exotic bird and some do something completely different just to be different. The same goes for the cakes that we eat, some people prefer a chocolate Yule log but I like to have some fruitcakes, a traditional Christmas cake with icing etc and a plained cake for those people who do not want something that is quite as sweet - maybe just topped with some almonds and cherries. In some ways it seems a bit silly that we are so fussy over something as simple as fruit cakes but it seems to be all these little family traditions which make the occasion for us. I think it is because certain things bring back childhood memories for us and there are no better Christmases than the ones when we are children. There is something about the whole magic of it and the expectation which makes it so much better. I guess the fact that they do not have to worry about the cost, preparation, shopping, entertaining and cooking helps to make it a much more pleasurable experience for them. Although,I have found that as I have got older, the cooking and entertaining is as much part of the tradition of Christmas for me as the magic and excitement was as a child. There are still things that I eat and drink at that time of year that set off that excited tingling sensation in my tummy like when I used to look out of the window on Christmas Eve to see whether Father Christmas was flying through the sky waiting for me to fall asleep so that he coudl deliver my presents.
